We are delighted to share that Kieran Sproston, Senior Scientist at Seda has been appointed as the new Treasurer of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences (APS). 

Kieran brings a wealth of experience to this role having been an active member of APS since his undergraduate days and currently co-leads the APS New Scientists Focus Group. His appointment as Treasurer reflects his commitment to advancing pharmaceutical sciences and supporting the APS community. 

In his new capacity, Kieran will oversee APS’s financial stewardship, budget planning, and resource allocation, key elements in supporting APS’s mission to foster excellence in pharmaceutical sciences. The organisation remains confident that his industry experience and financial insight will bring continued success.

“I have been involved with APS since my undergraduate days and have greatly benefited from the many activities and learning opportunities the organisation provides. I am grateful for the chance to continue supporting APS in the role of Treasurer. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Bob Clay for his outstanding contributions during his tenure as Treasurer and for generously sharing his knowledge and guidance as I step into this position.” 

Since joining Seda, Kieran has contributed significantly to GMP operations and pharmaceutical development, with a focus on optimising our tech transfer activities and ensuring a seamless flow of scientific knowledge from product concept and development through to clinical manufacturing. His background includes formulation expertise in solid oral dosage forms and both continuous and batch processing.
