ADME and Modelling Sciences – (Associate) Principal Scientist (REF 0923)

Seda Pharmaceutical Development Services are going through a period of rapid expansion as we establish ourselves as a premier, science led, pharmaceutical CRO. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced DMPK scientist to join our growing ADME and Modelling Sciences group. The primary purpose of this multidisciplinary role is to create value for Seda’s clients through the application of their DMPK technical knowledge and experience. Patient centric product development is a key aspect of Seda’s offering, which we believe differentiates us from other organisations, and needs to be built on a solid technical foundation in DMPK, biopharmaceutics and clinical pharmacology. You’ll support our clients by leading the design, analysis and interpretation of ADME and pharmacology studies, guiding selection of candidate drugs with the combined DMPK-PD and biopharmaceutics properties necessary for development and ensuring projects progress through development with an appropriate level of clinical pharmacology and DMPK understanding. In addition, you’ll have the ability to lead projects and work well in a team. You’ll need good influencing skills and be able to communicate well at all levels in the Company. At Seda, we expect all our team to have a self-development mindset and you’ll be providing coaching and mentoring to other team members to support this.

Reports to: Director

Experience: You’ll be educated to at least degree level (ideally PhD) with significant experience of drug discovery and development and a track record of project delivery in the design and selection of compounds that meet development criteria. You bring the highest level of scientific thinking together with a pragmatic approach to deliver candidate drugs and/or development plans, documentation, data interpretation and decisions for Clients’ compounds and products.
